About This Work

The “Humming Chorus” from Giocomo Puccini’s opera ‘Madam Butterfly’ is one of a trilogy of choruses scored for concert band by Geoff Kingston. Others are ‘The Easter Hymn’ from Cavalleria Rusticana and the ‘The Slaves Chorus’ from Nabucco – which will be published shortly.

This beautiful chorus is heard while Butterfly, Suzuki (her maid) and Trouble (her son) wait and watch throughout the night for Pinkerton's arrival. Well scored this is ideal for themed and more general concerts.
