Adrian Kingston

Warrant Officer Class One Adrian Kingston joined the Army as a French Horn player, enlisting into the Band of the Corps of Royal Engineers at the age of 17 years in 1991.

In 1993 he attended the year long Pupils Course at The Royal Military School of Music, Kneller Hall, before returning to Chatham where he served for the next 8 years.

As a Bandsman, he was involved in numerous state occasions, here in the United Kingdom as well as touring extensively throughout Europe and countries further afield, such as Uzbekistan, Hong Kong and South Korea.

In 2001 he attended the 5-week long Sergeants Course gaining a distinction in his course examinations. Later that year, WO1 Kingston achieved a place on the Bandmasters Course where he won a prize for brass arranging, plus a BMus (Hons) Degree through Kingston University.

Upon Graduation in September 2004 he was posted to the Queen’s Minden Band as Assistant Bandmaster. In October 2004 WO1 Kingston was appointed Bandmaster of the Band of the King's Division based at Weeton Barracks, Preston.  Currently he is the Bandmaster of The Band & Bugles of The Rifles, based in Winchester.
