‘Funeral March' is taken from Tchaikovsky's ‘Twelve Piano Pieces - Op.40'. Tchaikovsky wrote a number of shorter works for Piano. Many of these seem to display certain sadness and it is easy to believe that Tchaikovsky expressed his own feelings in these works; the Funeral March is certainly full of pathos tinged with heroic majesty.

Arranged by Geoff Kingston this little know work explores the full dynamic range and colour of the Concert Band. This is ideal for an occasion where a grand work is required or just as a concert piece which will assuredly delight your audience.
