Call of the Thistle (Gairm na Cluaise) composed by Ian Macpherson BEM and Scott Morton evokes the proud, measured tread of a Scottish battalion on parade. The music conjures ranks of soldiers marching in steady formation behind their band, colours held high, with pipes and brass leading in unity and resolve. Contemporary and traditional musical elements are brought together to powerful effect, creating a rich and varied soundscape.
